Vilas Avenue is an independent literary journal, founded in 2014. We aim to publish well-crafted poetry at the intersection of language & movement [ISSN 2380-0232]. Our portfolio encompasses our flagship journal, Vilas Avenue, and our niche, camping-themed literary magazine, Camp Hiawatha (est. 2023).

Cole W. Williams / Editorial Board Member
Cole is a poet, essayist, and hybrid writer. Recent singular works are featured with The Common, The Florida Review, North Dakota Quarterly, Water~Stone Review, Eastern Iowa Review, Xinachtli Journal, and other journals, anthologies. Williams won the Under Review’s 2022 annual chapbook contest for Olympia; and was recognized by The Florida Review’s 2022 Humboldt Prize for poetry for the poem “Sunset.”

Jody is a French-American writer and photographer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis on creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has appeared in Bennington Review, Fairy Tale Review, Tin House Online, The Sun, and Georgia Review, among other publications.
